Default Camping Forums UK - Site Rules

The Camping Forums UK Site Rules

Definition: Camping Forums UK encompasses the following URL's: The Rules:

    1. You agree to use Camping Forums UK only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of Camping Forums UK. Prohibited behaviour includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person, transmitting obscene or offensive content or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within Camping Forums UK.
    2. By posting on Camping Forums UK (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) you agree to grant to Camping Forums UK, free of charge, permission to use the material in any way it wants - including modifying and adapting it.
    3. Copyright in your contribution will remain with you and this permission is not exclusive, so you can continue to use the material in any way including allowing others to use it.
    4. In order to post on Camping Forums UK, you confirm that your contribution is your own original work, is not defamatory and does not infringe any UK laws, that you have the right to give Camping Forums UK permission to use it for the purposes specified above, and that you have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in your contribution or the consent of their parent / guardian if they are under 16.
    5. If you do not want to grant Camping Forums UK the permission set out above on these terms, please do not submit or share your contribution to or with Camping Forums UK.
    6. Contributions must be civil and tasteful:
    • No unlawful or objectionable content: unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable. If it isn't safe to view at work, it isn't safe to post here either. You will be banned for that. The Moderators will decide what is acceptable or not. If it is borderline, you will get a warning, if it is blatant, you will not.
    • No disruptive, offensive or abusive behaviour: contributions must be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or contributed with the intention of causing trouble. If you have to sink that low, we don***8217;t want you and you probably don't belong here anyway. And threatening another forum member will not only get you banned, you just might get a visit from some humourless types.
    • No spamming or off-topic material: we don't allow the submission of the same or very similar contributions many times. Please don't re-submit your contribution to more than one discussion, or contribute off-topic material in subject-specific areas.
    • No advertising or promoting. without prior agreement from the site owners.
    • No impersonation: we don***8217;t allow users to knowingly impersonate another member, or fraudulently impersonate users to gain access to the site.
    • No inappropriate (e.g. vulgar, offensive etc) user names.
    • Think about what you are posting. When you post here your words are in public, and will eventually be grabbed by search engines, sometimes within minutes. That means your contribution will retrieve immortality whether you want it or not.
    Friendly advice

Always remember that what you post can be seen by anyone. Your words can come back to haunt you in a hearing or legal procedure, and we do not delete posts unnecessarily. If you're not sure whether a post is going to be valid, ask yourself if you'd have any concern over your post being handed to a legal firm or read back to you in a court hearing.
Although we do not and cannot review the messages posted and are not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread or message for any or no reason whatsoever. All messages express the views of the respective author, and neither the owners of Camping Forums UK, nor Jelsoft Enterprises will be held responsible for the content of any message. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages.

    Friendly warning

What you post can also put the site at risk of inclusion in legal proceedings as evidence or worse, which involves money and time for the site owners and risks shutting down Camping Forums UK temporarily or for good. That could put us in a position to have to remove you from the site until that mess is untangled, or permanently, even if we really like you a lot.
If there***8217;s something amiss, contact a mod. The moderators are here to do just that: moderate. They try their best to enforce the rules. They might even step in and attempt to break up a fight. That usually ends up in said moderator getting a virtual barstool broken over their head, but they try hard. We don***8217;t always see every thread and every post, so if you see a violation of the rules, click the ***8216;report post***8217; link in the header of the offending post. You might get ignored, but someone will at least look into it.
Private messages are Private. That***8217;s why they***8217;re given the really nifty title of ***8220;Private Messages***8221;. If you***8217;ve got a problem with a PM, contact a mod.

The moderator's decisions are final. Don't moan about it.

If you fail to abide by these Rules when taking part in the Camping Forums UK, you will be sent an email which informs you why your contribution has been deleted, removed or edited. This email will also include a warning that continuing to break the rules may result in action being taken against your membership.

This action may include any content posted by you being checked before allowed to go on the site or a temporary or permanent suspension of your ability to participate in any or all of the Camping Forums UK.

That's about it, but we might throw in a few secret rules now and then to justify being called moderators.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise in violation of any laws.

If you don't like it, thanks for stopping by. We can't be everything to everybody, and trying would ruin the feel.

So come on in, put your feet up and make yourself at home.
