After our disappointment last time with the Cobb BBQ not getting hot enough I was keen to try a new source of heat so I ordered some of the Cobblestones.

They are expensive, at over £1 each, but I'm pleased to report that they are outstanding!
We've sizzled the last couple of hours away with as much heat now as when they were lit.
It took around 2 or 3 mins to be able to start cooking and the heat was very strong.

All in all a great success.

Next we're going to try some lump wood charcoal to see if that's any good.
