This campsite is situated at the north end of Glen Coe and a couple of miles north of Glencoe village. It's not suitable for caravans due to the access toad but smaller campervans can be catered for.
Unlike most sites you pitch in between the trees and the cars and bikes are left on the roadside. The ground itself is pretty bumpy in places and finding a smooth pitch could be tricky if you have a bigger tent. When I was there of Friday the site filled up fast and people we pitching on the verges so if you want one of the better pitches don't leave it till the last minute.
Facilities wise there is plenty water points and one is never far away. The toilet and shower blocks are made up of portacabin blocks and single builders type site loos. The are relatively clean and all centrally located which could mean a good walk in the middle of the night.
Views wise the place is stunning being in the shadows of a couple of more impressive peaks.
Popular with backpackers and climbers there seems to be a lot of single travellers and socialising is high on the agenda so it can be noisy at night. Fires are allowed till 11pm at which time the staff come round and put them out.
Cost wise £7.50 a head which is cheap if you are on your own but not so good if 4 of you are sharing a tent.
