    Default Cheap Camping Site...

Ok if you want something very cheap and chearfull and are in the peak district then oppossite Jellys (Katies Cafe) is afarmers field who only charges £2 per night. No showers but there is a toilet and plenty of grass to pitch, and if you get there first you won't have to kick sheep sh!t out the way to pitch but what do you want for £2? A butler!...

There is a pub within 30 seconds walking distance of the field and cafe and the surrounding area has some lovely roads.

Some pics of a recent XRV meet...

If you want good food and good service then i can't recommend the Cafe enough, like previously said the camp site is a filed with a toilet but so cheap you can't complain.

    Craig.

If we get enough threads on the subject then yes.
I would suggest we start a new thread for any sites like this and may be start then with "No Frills Camping: Site name, place" and then make sure that the tags show that as well. If we get loads then yes setting up another forum is no problem.

I have stayed on this site.As you say, basic, but for £2.00 you can't complain.I seem to remember that the cafe over the road closes about 4.00pm so you need to get in there early for your tea. They are open nice and early for breakfast. The pub,The Three Stags Heads,is well worth a visit. We shall be going back again soon.

2 pounds a night, quality, can't argue with that, if we all add our contributions then this could make for a great resource
