Camping Virgin

My mum recently bought me and my two sisters (we are all in our 40's with children etc) a really fantastic caravan to share. I never grew up in a camping environment so the whole thing is really new to me. Can I ask you all where you think is the best place to find campsites? I always seem to end up on ukcampsites.co.uk and wondered if there were any other nuggets out there?

We are predominantly a tenting community but we may well be able to recommend some sites that welcome touring vans as well. What areas are you interested in?

I live in the NW of England. I suppose with two young children we are really looking around this area so Lancashire, Wales, Lakes etc.
