Camp site required Abercan Gwent

Hi all.
Mrs C and myself are going to Wales on the 19th to 21st June to take part in the Trial Ride for Children with Learning Difficulties Event.
It is in Gwyddon Forest, Abercarn Gwent (does this count as taking my bike abroad?) and I am looking for a campsite close by, doesn't have to be top notch but hot showers would be good
Any suggestions or recommendations please...... campsite related!!!!!!!

You need J or Sharrie to help you out there! This is their neck of woods, South Wales.

There's a Caravan Club site at Tredegar Park that allows tents, or there appears to be a site called Conifers Camping.

Thanks Sharribee, that looks great and only about 4 miles from Abercarn, just e-mailed them to see if they take bikers, some of the sites over here can be a bit funny about it
Will let you know what sites like if thats where we end up.

Thanks MoM, little sh*ts, worth bearing in mind although the TA is a tad heavier than a mountain bike I'll make sure it's well and truly disc locked, chained padlocked.
