I've stayed here a few times normally on the way up somewhere where it's a convenient stop off for me. Also normally with a couple of other mates on motorbikes which they seem happy to accept if there's just a few of you.

It's got a stunning location being right next to Ullswater lake.
The facilities have always been good for me. They aren't top notch, but they are adequate and always clean. It's in a nice quiet location.

The prices are about right for the Lake District but expensive compared to elsewhere.

There is a small shop which has a few items.
There is a pub in Pooley Bridge which is about 1KM away walking along the shore line. It can get wet mind, and interesting walking back in the dark when you've had a few.

Prices range from £12.00 to £22.00 for a tent per night at the time of writing this review.
