glamping! luxury camping or missing the point?

I stayed at a glampsite my secret belltent - Home and I must admit had a great time. Several of my hardcore camping friends have given me a bit of stick over it. They tell me the pitching and camp making are all part of the experience.
I found not having to set up any kit very liberating....am I alone?

wow being a tight ar** i could not spend that sort of money on a weeks camping but it sure does look nice and i can see the attraction but i would rather put my own tent up and watch it blow down or leak then theres only me to blame still an interesting concept though
