Camping advice

Having spent last night in with my wife and a few friends us blokes got talking about camping.

I have this vision of myself and a couple of friends driving out to somewhere like Wales, setting up a couple of tents and camping out in the middle of nowhere. Now I don't mean living off the land but cooking over an open fire and maybe even a spot of sea fishing to try to catch dinner!

We are not thinking about going until around early August but I thought I would just find out if we are actually allowed to do this and to ask if anyone knows of any nice picturesque places we can go.

I can't speak for Wales but up here in Scotland we have the "Right to roam" act and that's exactly the sort of thing you could do.

As long as you leave the place as you found it and don't annoy others you can pretty much camp anywhere.
