il de re compared to il d oleron

We went i Il de re last year and enjoyed it very much. However fancy a change so thought about Il d oleron. Any one got any feedback about his island. We have two children who like cycling ....well flat cycling ! How does the cycling compare too ???

been loads of times with the motorhome and cycles but no children huge island compared to i`ll de re and slightly cheaper . the north around the lighthouse is verygood as is the west beach.

have a look at there web site for the tourist office who have a cycle map of the island, well worth a stop and look at is Fouras between La rochelle and Rochefort so enroute great beach for kids and lovel small municiple campsite.

Also the coubra forest is huge and loads cycle routes
