Located on the A84 just south of Strathyre in the Trossachs which is pretty much at the southern end of the Scottish Highlands and about 1 Hour from both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Site is small and has probably about 30 touring pitches for caravans and as much space again for tents. There are no static vans on the site. Views are stunning and a river runs through the site and canoe and bike hire is available nearby. The site itself is well looked after and it has one of the cleanest toilet / laundry blocks I have ever seen. Apart from that a small shop is onsite which sells the usual stuff at the usual campsite prices.

Rates wise its good with a 8 man tent costing between £14 and £19.50 per night depending on season although the prices for smaller tents aren't much less with a 2 man £9 - £15 again depending on season.

Strathyre village is about 5 minutes walk up the (unlit and pavementless) road with a couple of pubs (good food) and shops once you get there.

All in all a great site for anyone not fussed about onsite entertainment and it provides an excellent base for exploring the area.
