Talking Great Campsite in North Yorkshire, fires allowed.

    Hi Everyone,
Just thought I would share my most recent campsite find with you all.Its an absolute Gem for anybody who loves traditional, wild style camping.Fires are allowed if made in a bbq or just raised off the ground,a beck runs all the way round the site, great for kids as its not too deep, fishing is also allowed and the occasional trout rears its head.In other words your pretty much free to do whatever you like, tonnes of room to pitch and everyone seems to behave. Its great for cycling in Dalby forest, walking or relaxing.
It seems to be £10 per tent per night or £5 per adult, kids are free.Toilets are very basic, with a few cobwebs, but clean.
The site is situated on Low Farm in the hamlet of Ellerburn,1 mile from Thornton-le-Dale(which has all the little shops you need and a costcutter). And only 5 minutes drive from Pickering.
Hope somebody finds this usefull, and if anyone goes and you see a shiny black jeep, with a rather crazy, half goth looking girl and man, your more than welcome to join our fire for a glass of wine:-).
P.S.You also have to share the field with a few well behaved sheep, lol.

Just my sort of site. It's only a few miles from Rosedale where we will be camping in September. I may pop in for a look while I'm down.
I went to the zoo recently. The only animal there was a small dog. It was a shihtzu

On the subject of Rosedale,I dont whether its a big attraction for you there or not,but the white horse Inn closed in may,but is hopefully opening again later this year.

Eek. I didn't know that. There are a whole bunch of us going. Please tell me there is another pub.
