Just wondered if anyone could help me in locating somewhere to hold a wedding reception next year? Looking for somewhere guests can camp and make a weekend of it, ideally with a barn so we don't have to get a marquee.

We're based on south London but can travel an hour or so - willing to go in any direction for the right place! We just want somewhere we can put our own stamp on without being tied into expensive packages we don't really want.

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated as I'm drawing a blank with everywhere at the moment. Thanks!

I too am looking for the exact same thing - we're in Brighton - so anything in that area would be of interest to me too!

Hmm interesting dillema. Both my brothers got married last summer at two seperate venues. The weddings took place in the countryside of Worcestershire, so obviously abit further than you would want to travel. However, with that in mind - both settings were lovely.

My edlest brother married at a place called Grafton Manor, a lovely country estate: and it is the more suitable of the two re camping. It has a chapel and reception area with rooms for the grooms and bridal parties in the main house, the main house also leads to an attched marquee for the evening recpetion - it is all included in the price. It also has a holiday inn just three miles down the road.

It also has beautiful grounds for the pictures. If you need anymore info check the website, and I also know a great place for getting really low priced makeover treatments. I´m not 100% re camping, but I think they can sort something out.
