    Default Worst pitched tent

Now I'm sure we have all seen some pretty poorly pitched tents on our travels (we may have even contributed to the numbers on occasions) but the one I saw last night surely took first prize.

This tent was occupied by a couple of Walters dressed in fatigues one of whom seemed to spend his time standing on the hill guarding the site. He eventually came over and commented how much better my tent looked than his heap of junk. When I went over and had a look he had pitched it, not outer first as designed, but by putting the poles through the inner and then simply throwing the fly over the whole setup and roughly pegging down.

I showed him how to pitch his tent properly and left him to it.

Here's one we found at Easter - no idea what she had done but after a day of wind it was even worse and the bedrooms pods were flapping away merrily.

She also had an eBay special EHU - the blue connectors straight onto a domestic 3 gang socket. She told us she was taking her 2 boys to France this summer and was just testing it all out to see it worked OK!!
