I don't have any experience of Irish campsites but many if not most over here in Scotland will supply hookup for tents if needed (at a price). You may need long cables as often the hookups are near the touring vans area but to find good grass you need to move a little way away. Give them a call and ask.

No experience of camping in Ireland I'm afraid. DaveS usually camps with an electrical hook up (I think) so he might be able to give you some advice.

Hi. Yes we always use Electric Hook-up.

Campsites I can't recommend over there I'm afraid.

But I never had a problem getting an electric hook up anywhere on a grass pitch and never had a problem with a 20m lead either being too short, although I do carry an extension just in case!

I'm not sure whether the Caravan and Camping Club or equivalent have sites over there, if they do you'll be fine with them.

Also one last thing make sure you have a proper RCD unit to connect up to ensure you're safe. Oh and also don't take normal house kettle's or heaters as they can have too much drain, especially the kettle. You can get travel kettle's that take a little longer to boil but don't drain so much.

Shout back if you have any more questions.
