Hi welcome to the forum. I'm afraid I can't help with the campsite but have a look through these there may be something there for you.

hello to you all, Im a first time camper to be (hoping to go in a couple of weeks).Job loss has kind of forced purchase of tent instead of other type holidays, but im quite looking forward to it as i love nature (dont know about the teenage kids tho)
I didnt realise it would be as hard(spent 2 weeks reviewing tents, still couldnt get one i really wanted as i dont shop online so was rather constricted for choice.)
Was up until 3.30 this morning trying to find a campsite not far from bedfordshire that had a swimming pool and was near beach(fussy i know, but with teenagers they get bored easily(secretly i cant wait until they are too old to come with us,so its just me and hubby as we are more easily pleased,we like walking and birdwatching)
Any recommendations will be greatly recieved,I am worn out from trawling through websites.
Thanks for reading x

Hi and also welcome,
I cant help either but the ukcampsite link is a good start. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts when you return from your hols with regards to how it compares with your normal type of holiday. Are we soon to have another convert join the ranks ?
Have a great time when you get there.

Dont dream your life, live your dreams .... or just go down the pub!!
hi ya, not to far away from you just down down the A6 a few miles...
The nearest beach to us is the north norfolk coast (short trip up through peterborough/wisbeach)....
the nearest campsite that comes to mind is the searles site at Hunstantion: (85 miles and an easy 90 mins drive)
UK Family Holidays - Searles Leisure Caravan & Camping Park in Norfolk
...
also have a look at manor park just over the road from searles as they have a few pools but not sure if they take tents any more: http://www.manor-park.co.uk/
also the Park site at heacham just a few miles south : http://www.park-resortstouring.com/findPark.asp
(note Park have loads of sites this around the country eg Camber Sands, Rhyl etc that 120% family orientated!)
cant help with what these sites are like as I have never used any of them (not my sort of camping), but i know the coast well and its a good area to explore.

thanks jenna i know what you mean about the type of campsite(me too).I will take a look at what you have suggested.
Hi DB!
Welcome to the site.
Might be worth you joining the Caravan and Camping Club or is it the Camping and Caravanning club. You then get the big sites book which is invaluable to finding somewhere.
Hope you find somewhere nice.
We have the same problem with a 15 year old and an 18 year old who stays at home now. Hopefully won't be trashing the place next week whilst we're not there.![]()
