Just thought I'd make a quick post to say hello... Just found this forum via a search for tent carpets on Google... Love camping... Love camping forums... Couldn't resist joining...
Not a newbie to camping, just to this forum...
Based in Derby, normally camp as a family on our own or with groups of friends... Had three trips already this year, another three planned... Starting this Saturday, with two weeks in Devon
That's enough for now... Supposed to be working,

hello, nice to see you on the forum,NOW get on with your work![]()
yes its not all about camping you knowyou haveto earn the pennies.
Talking of which, i have just booked 3 nights at pentneys in norfolk(dont know where youre from so dont know if youve heard of it) but £30 per nightand extra for indoor pool.It will be my first camping trip so i hope its good.
Of course it's all about camping!
£30 is quite steep, although I've paid that much (and more) during the peak season in Cornwall... I'm based in the midlands, (Derby) and I've not camped on the east side of the country before so I can't help you with that site... Sure you'll enjoy it though (looking at the reviews elsewhere)...
Work is just a means to earn the pennies to spend on camping stuff and pitch fees![]()
true, but we both are victims of the economic downturn(just lost our jobs)so we thought camping would be cheaper,I suppose if i booked earlier i would have got somewhere cheaper but hey ho .Any nice in derbyshire with indoor pool, not haven type places, for another time?
There are loads of nice sites in Derbyshire, but I can't think of any with an indoor pool... Rivendale nr Buxton is a nice site, Callow Top near Ashbourne has an outdoor pool I think, although I've never stayed there... Are you from Norfolk way?
HI AdL
Glad you found the forum.
Its great to get experienced people on board here..
We (myself & wife) are dedicated Tenters, and go out to the west coast of scotland , 2 or 3 times a year.
I have been tenting for 32 years now, since I was a nipper.. Love everything about it.
The wife (Bigbogdog here) was brought up in the wilds of canada so of course she is great at the tenting and outdoors ...
Have a good time in Devon
cheers lwr
Cheers largewayround...
Nice to be welcomed!
Can't wait to get to Devon... once passed Bristol on the M5 it'll be all smiles for two weeks!
