    Default Bikers

as in Motorbikes not pedal cycles

Having had a good nosey around the site I seem to have noticed there are afew of you who seem like your bikes which is brilliant as that is oneof my huge likes.

OH has an R6 - which I love going 2 up on. Until 4 years ago I would never ever go near bikes but needs must one day so then I was hooked.

I took the plunge 3 years ago and did the CBT (40th present) and bought a 125 which I love - not yet got around to the full test. It's a Chinese bike, cruiser style and tough not the Hornet that I aspire to I love it.

We are thinking of getting a Khyam Biker tent - thanks for the review - for when the girls can go elsewhere and we can get a day or tow to ourselves and take off.

There's no feeling like it - except breakfast on a camp site on a beautiful morning.

Now if we could combine the two ................

    Hi

Yip, I passed my CBT and DAS Last year, at 41 years old.. A bit late but it was a dream of mine.

I have now got my dream bike also.. Transalp 650 its the last of the 650's on a 2007 plate.

I have been camping once so far with some guys from XRV forum ..

Here is a picture of us drying out ... It was a very wet weekend.

    Great fun.. though

In this months issue of "Ride" magazine they are doing a review of biker friendly tent's and other kit.

Worth a look. If I get five I must read it myself

    Yip, me too..

I found that going tenting on the bike was of course totally different from the tenting Iam used too. I.E usually have tons of stuff crammed into the landy .

So, finding a small tent, small stove , etc etc was fun..

The ride mag thing is a reprint of Trail mags cheap tent article... I also notice that they happily gloss over the slating the coleman tent got in trail as coleman were giving it away in Ride... lmao guess that editorial is not biased then.

The reason that there are so many bikers on here is because I run the Honda Trail Bike Forum and there is a direct forum link from there to here.
Plus I transferred all of the members across to here so that they didn't need to set themselves up.
I'm keen though that it's not all about bike camping and I think we have a nice balance going.
Tentipi Safir 9 CP - Keeping us warm in the night.

Khyam Biker - Keeping me dry for the last few years.

I think the mix is right also.

I am sure that quite a few *bikers* like myself , go camping with the bike and the car.

Anyways, well done dave for setting up this forum. The interaction between members really makes this site so much fun and a great source of info.
