ive found some really tasty (blow your head off hot!) dry noodles at the local asian supermarket, along with good quality soup bases and stock cubes in flavours i never knew existed.
aldi do tiny tins of tuna flakes in different flavours, the hot chinese noodles ("plain" flavour, apparently, but it'll strip paint off a door) with a tin of tuna and sundried tomatoes, is lovely. i pour the noodle juice into a mug for a hot drink, 2 birds with one stone

hmmmm interesting one here. Personally, I donīt mind carrying the weight and so often carry a lot of equipment with me - ie a small stove, pots, pans and a mixture of ingredients. For a quick meal when camping: curries are pretty easy to make as are risottos - if you do want to be real simple then yeah, asian dry noodles, some garlic and add some tomato puree should cook down nicely!
