    Default Drinking water...

Sorry but again aimed more at the biker/backpakers...

With water being one of the heaviest everyday needs what do you do?

I guess the main options are either buy/carry bottled water or go for a filter and/or puritabs of some type?

If your using tabs whats works best.. are people still using Milton tabs?

If you have gone hi tech and use a filter system and water you can find what make type is it and how does it work?

For me I tend to be in the middle with some bottled water and tabs/filter as unlike the dogs I'm not happy drinking out of puddles!

Recently i saw the ikkle Aquamira Frontier Pro which i think i may get especially as this one can be connected up to a platypus bag and left to drain though on its own... oh and its tiny and cheap at £20 unlike a Katadyn at £100+! frontier pro

i drink the blue stuff that comes out of my bikes radiator.....

    maybe not.

rarely have to worry about water when bike camping, being always near roads amenities are never that far. campsites nearly always have a water supply, or one of us takes a ride down the road to the last co-op we passed.
i guess in scotland with the right to roam and all that you could get in the middle of nowhere with no water about.

Bottled water if possible, but I also carry a rolled up Millbank bag and some drops just in case.

Just for clarification, Jenna means Milton tabs to sterlize the equipment and not the water for drinking

Just thought I'd clear that up before anyone tries to drink Milton tabs in water...
