Going on our first trip with all the new gear at the end of next week. Going to try and get all it in an Escort. No idea how well (or not) it will all fit in, Especially with a lanky 16 year old in the back!

We roll the air beds up under the back seats . Tent , groundsheet ,carpet , extension , single stove , chairs , cool box , clothes etc. in the boot . Sleeping bags and pillows become ' scatter cushions ' in the back . even managed to squeeze a couple of thirteen year olds in.

Just remember... "THE TENT GOES IN LAST!". If it's peeing it down when you arrive you don't want to be getting everything out of the car to get to the tent.
