    Default Keeping the Bugs Away

So i'm planning a trip shortly perhaps up to Gairloch, had a great family holiday there when i was a boy, but the one thing that always sticks out in my mind was the amount of midgies that at times was unbearable. Does anyone have any tips for keeping these pains at bay or is it just something i'll have to endure?

Avon skin so soft is really good. There's something in it that the midges don't like. Not to everyones taste though.

Deet always works for me but it is pretty horrible stuff. I keep a little bottle of 50% on the bike at all times.

I went to the zoo recently. The only animal there was a small dog. It was a shihtzu

It's weird though how some poeple don;t attract many bugs where others get served on a platter and are bug food heaven.

Jenna gets bit from head to toe and really seems to react to the bites, where I might get one or two bites compared to her 30-40..

dont know what it does to your kidneys, but its only while camping not permanently.
i read in a yankee camping book once to have 400% RDA of vitamin B +thiamin and the bugs stay away, it comes out in your sweat or something.
seems to work, i used to get eaten alive by mozzies. luckily beer has some vitamin B in it too so i give my body a top up every now and then
