    Default hello people!

    just saying hi to all,
im an ex soldier who loves to camp...(not glamp!!) an im into walking up blooming big hills,an down deep valleys, sometimes not by choice haha, its nice to see another campng forum as an option to c&c.uk...i lean to the wilder side of camping, therefore i tend to look down on the ehu brigade
but i spose its only cos i havent got it really, fav places are cornwall, the lakes,an the peak district......hope to have a chat with you all in the near future!!
oh by the way i am a man city fan for my sins, sorry

    Hello mate.
    Welcome to the forum.
Having been in the forces you're pretty much thrown in to the wild camping routine I would think, so it's not surprising that an EHU would seem like complete luxury!
Coming at it from the other end it kind of feels like a necessity... although I don't bother with EHU when camping on the motorbike.

It would good to hear of your experiences and advice on the lighter side of camping though. I'm sure you've got plenty of info to share!

    Cheers

I'm somewhere between the two of you. I don't mind the minimalist approach and don't use leccy hookup but I do draw the line at crapping in the woods [1] and drinking out of puddles.

[1] except in an emergency of course.
I went to the zoo recently. The only animal there was a small dog. It was a shihtzu

i see loads of bikers on sites, even though back in the day i could be called a mod,(i even owned a lambretta(yeh yeh,i knowits not like the old days when war raged, nowadays its great to see the bikes and you can always have a laugh with you lot.....is it me or have bikers all grown old together??anyway its all good,..crapping in the woods can be a necessity, but only if you got a shovel,an face downwind..
we are actually off down to st agnes on saturday for a week,me an the other half walk the swcp in stages,an that bit is a fill in from perranporth and st ives. im just wondering if the weather will hold up as its good at the mo!! i can laugh at rain, but blooming hate the wind.....
