    Hi all,

I Stumbled across this site when I was looking for a new tent online! Thought I would join as Im trekking/camping up Snowdonia in May and I am super excited and wanted to share this with people!!!!!

I do a fair bit of camping, as I am a leader within the Explorer Scouts (ages 14-18), but I just love camping in general.

Really looking forward to getting to know everyone!! Also any recommendations for a decent lightweight 2 man tent would also be great!!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Shereen,
Snowdonia sounds great. The Highlands of Scotland is my camping backyard and I would dearly love to camp in Wales.

My son is also an Explorer and a Scout leader and has not long returned from their winter camp. It was a bit cold and wet he says.

As for the tent. I suppose it depends what you want it for. There are some fabulous 1-2 season tents out there for less than £40 but if you want something for year round you will need to spend a good bit more.

Have you considered 3 man tents? I find 2 man a bit neat for me and all my gear. The extra few inches of width the 3 man offers are well worth the small increase in pack size.
I went to the zoo recently. The only animal there was a small dog. It was a shihtzu

Hmm I know your right about the 3 man tent, I might wait for a bit and see what happens in the sales!!!

Whats Scotland like for camping? I really need to get around to different places.

+1 on the 2 man tent bit, I have a Vango Delta 200 but when you have your biking trousers/jacket/boots/helmet etc inside it does get a bit cramped. I now have a Vango Tepee which should solve the space problem, both horizontal and vertical as it has a large footprint and is 6 feet tall. I will do a bit of a review as soon as the weather permits.

    Hi and welcome
If you're backpacking, the Vaude Hogan is hard to beat but you'll have to pay a premium for one.....As already said, a 2/3 man would be good if you can.
