    Default We've had a revamp

Welcome to the new look site. I hope you like it.
We needed to upgrade to the latest version of the forum software and I took the opportunity to change the look as well.
The upgrade has been fairly major so there will be some things that have moved and some things that may be don't work.
If you find anything or have any questions then please post here.

    Many thanks
    Dave

Mmmm, not too sure I am that keen on the colour scheme/layout following your revamp Dave. Not popped in for a while, and it came as a shock!!

OK, I am a conservative old sod, probably like most people, but the pastel green colour scheme seems very washed out and is not at all easy to read. It's also a bit of a struggle finding my way around the page with all the ads in mid-section, but this will become less of an issue with time.

Yes the mods have made the same comments.
There should be just the same number of ads as last time, but the design may be highlighting them perhaps a bit more. Need to find the right balance of the site paying for itself and not being too intrusive.
I'll certainly be having a look at the colours and tweaking.

I understand the need for the ads and can/will work around them as i always do Dave, (there is software about that will strip 'em out if it annoyed me that much!!) but the colour thing is an issue. No options to allow individual users to set their own colour scheme/layout by default after logging in?

I'll be looking at the colour style/issues as I said. Unfortunately it's a brand new style system, and this design is based on the standard forum software. There have been many comments on it looking washed out, and the response from the makers is that they actually employed proper designers to design it.... this is a hack of the standard design and I've possibly changed a few too many things, so will tweak till we get it right.
    Feedback always appreciated.
    Cheers

I've added a new style that can be selected in the bottom left hand corner. You should see a drop down selection box. It's called Camping Forums UK Alternative Style.
This is pretty much out of the box, designed by professionals, and with some very minor tweaks!
    Is this better?

Much!! Not perfect for my old eyes but I can read without squinting, a little more "black" in the text area would be good if that was possible? Thanks, an old bloke appreciates your help ...

One of the things that has broken terminally at the moment is some threads and posts that have had pictures inserted in to them. I'm working on this with the authors of the software. Hope to get it fixed soon.
