Hello, I'm getting back into camping after a 25 year break. I stopped camping way back because I got fed up with the discomfort, pup tent crouching to cook, eating standing up etc. Recently I've been on a few walking trips with a mate and camped in his tent...comfortably. Standing height tent, separate bedroom pods, tables, chairs etc... This changed my mind about camping, it doesn't have to be uncomfortable. Just bought a Gelert Horizon 6 for use as a 2 person tent. Lots of room unlike my old pup tent. Also been trying to get fully equipped in advance of my next walking break on Dartmoor. Still new to this so please expect some fairly basic questions.

Hi Andrew. Welcome to the forum and yes things have changed a bit over to 30odd years I have been camping. Some better some worse but by and large it's been for the better.

Camping before is really difficult. I'm too glad that there are some innovations now.
