    Default Hi folks....

Thought I would introduce myself. My names Geoff, I have been into camping all my life, always wild camping which fitted into my love of long distance walking. So my experience all comes with bivvy bags, hammocks and lightweight tents.

Too old now for the walks but I still regularly take off to Scotland for a few weeks of camping, fishing and canoeing.

I took one of my grandkids camping for a weekend late summer and he visited yesterday. He climbed on my knee and said he loved camping with me and could he do it again. So I've decided to buy a large tent and take a couple of them away when the weather warms up for a nice holiday. I've now joined up here to pick your brains about good, quiet campsites with good facilities etc. etc. to get them used to camping before introducing them to the wilder side of Britain!!
The older I get, the better I was.

Lovely to hear from you and great to see you're recruiting some new campers. :-)
It's a bit quiet on the camping front at the moment, but I'm hoping to test out my petrol stoves over the Christmas period and may be see how long it takes eash one to turn snow in to boiling water.
Will post up some reviews in due course.
