Hi there NG'.
I noticed that there were no replies to your 'Hello' which made me read your post.... firstly , hello back :-)
I have'nt been here for a while and as I am planning a motorcycle/camping trip from Dublin Ireland to John O' G' my second reason for reading your post is becoming clear? no?
I would like to know when the campsite season begins in Scotland as I plan to tour up the west coast towards J O'G and to the Islands, all I can get to by ferry.... back to J O'G and onward to London taking any route really with minimal motorway use. I am considering taking the east coast to London, then to the south coast and onward westerly to Lands End. I like to use my camera so I will be in no real hurry and have been known to spend more than a few days in one place just getting to know the people (talking) my weakness/strength.
Any information about ( wild camping) campsites, sights, places of interest in Scotland and the Isles will be of interst to me.
I plan to go around March and am not bothered about rain, wet, wind, storms, damp, dewyness, puddles, snow I can handle but frost and black ice I have found can dampen the spirits :-) ( 'dampen'.. ha,ha) as I live in Ireland and as you know we (Irish) invented rain and crappy grey weather..... you guys just copied us :-) :-)
Many thanks
Haratio
