So these are both bottled gas presumably if you're talking about regulators.

Refill prices (best prices I found on-line in about 1 minutes, there may be cheaper)
    CampingGaz 907 2.7KG for £19.99
    Calor Gas 4.5KG for £13.25

So Calor seems cheaper, but.... the Calor bottles are a bit bigger to lug about. Mind you based on that I might just swap over. I'd never thought about the cost before.
Tentipi Safir 9 CP - Keeping us warm in the night.

Khyam Biker - Keeping me dry for the last few years.

We cooked in a large tent for years with no problem. It's a definate no no in a small tent though. We used a double burner with grill type stove.

Just be careful tents (and caravans) burn very very well

about the fire risk, if its teeming down i sometimes cook with a propane trangia inside the large vestibule of my khyam biker. i fold the groundsheet over for a metre of bare earth at the end entrance and call it the "soggy" end for wet boots etc, and cook on this. the only way heat can get to the tent is if i throw the cooker at it, unlikely, and so is tripping over it as the tent isnt tall enough to stand in. there is good ventilation under the outer but condensation inside the tent is a problem.

one thing you must never do is cook with petrol in an enclosed space, you will at least get a headache or maybe even die, or even worse become welsh or something

oh yes, im intrigued about this electric cooking too, how is that going to work?

I too cook inside the porch of my Kyham Biker. I also roll back a portion of my footprint ground sheet and peg it so it can't roll back. I then peg my cooker to the ground so it can't be knocked over accidentally.
