    Default Camping table recommendations

We purchased a plastic table with fold out seats which broke on our first camping trip. We need to buy another table but we don.'t want to buy another flimsy piece of rubbish. Has to be able to pack away quite small as we only have zafira, so limited on space. Does anyone have any suggestions! Also any views on the Paris picnic aluminium table. Thanks

I've looked at a few and you have hit the nail on the head with the problems you found. The ones that pack down well are really flimsy and the sturdy ones are huge. I'm sure there must be some middle ground but I haven't found it yet.

May just purchase the 'paris picnic table' and hope for the best. Look sturdy but we'll see! Will let you all know in due course. Thanks for your reply

Purchased the 'paris picnic table' and received today, great fast service from TAM Leisure. The table is really sturdy, made of aluminium and has great support on the seats. Hopefully my husband won't sit through these this time! If it last the 2 weeks we're away and longer then happy I spent £70.

Also purchased a colemans fold up BBQ. Will let you all know in due course, what it was like.

How are you getting on with your table???
I bought a Coleman "table and 2 bench seats" set last year that folds up and clips together, we're very pleased with it after having a cheap fold up job like you before, but everythings a compromise between size/weight/practicality I suppose.....

Getting on fine with it, shame it's heavy but it did the job well for two weeks.
Just have a prob with size and getting it to fit in boot with rest of camping gear. So is the Coleman table sturdy?

The Coleman set up is very light but seems strong enough for camping use. The bench seats are the same, they're fine for 2 adults and 2 kids but a bit small for 4 adults. It's also a good idea to move the benches around as the legs sink in the ground after a while!!!! The benches come with a thin foam/fabric covering which does feel a bit hard after a while sitting but fine to eat a meal. The whole thing is miles better than the cheap fold out picnic type set I had before, the thing fell to pieces after a few uses
