I have a hi gear portable camping cooker that suggests using 220g canisters, however I have a couple of campingaz 250g canisters. Are they ok to use, as I am new to using the portable cookers.

As long as the fitment is identical

If it's easy to cook food using that portable cooker and it doesn't give you burden to take it on camp then it is a good one.
