    Welcome to the site.

As for what stove it depends on your budget what you get. I've got a trangia, other people have small gas stoves or small multi fuel types. Boris has a stove that uses unleaded and in fairness it works well. As to the make you'll have to waut for hime to log in I'm afraid.

Goodness.. I've been away longer than I thought. I have the coleman Feather stove. Pretty good and it runs on unleaded (which comes from the bike so is available everywhere). Pretty much bulletproof, easily lit and spares are everywhere (although I haven't needed any yet). It's a bit bigger than some but by the time you add a container for fuel (that the others need) then it's horses for courses.
I went to the zoo recently. The only animal there was a small dog. It was a shihtzu

Thanks for replies. The unleaded prob. most sensible, but as camping and motorcycles don't make any sense at all,I'll get one of those,so if I become a fireball on some lonely outcrop somewhere, someone will know who you are.

I like my Coleman too, i just dusted it off after the winter rest, 10-12 pumps and lit it, A bit spluttery, but after running it for 5 mins, I gave the unit a couple of sharp bumps, and all settled down nicely.

The biggest probs with petrol stoves is they don't like simmering stuff! Forger a nice omlette!! Brilliant for proper motorcycle camping food though, "take 2l of boling water and add to your instant pasta meal"..... I prefer to use Aspen petrol in mine, as much as anything, it smells nicer.

Did you get sorted for a stove ?

Got MSR Windpro myself, gas is much easier (imo) and being a remote canister stove with pre heater I can still make a cup if tea at minus 10C. 200gm of miniature loveliness - but dear though
