Default Bit of a giggle, Remote controled light.

    Hi all,

Ok a while back we got a 12V rechargeable lantern which has a remote key fob to turn it on and off, works up to about 10 mtrs away, and thought this would be a good idea for when returning to the tent when dark.

Anyway whilst away last weekend we went off for a walk with the hound before crashing out for the night. On returning to the tent it was dark so I get the key fob out and blip the button and sure enough our tent lights up. Great you might think but then it goes out again as we get closer so I blip the button again, our tent lights up once more but then we hear from a tent 2 pitches away from us as we are passing "what the hell is wrong with this light" and then once again their tent lights up and ours goes out !!!

We stopped beside this tent looked at each other and once again I blip our button out of curiosity ... " oh for god sake " comes from the other tent as theirs goes out once more and ours lights up.

Could have had hours of fun but instead we headed back to our tent and turned ours on manually, over riding the remote switch.

So if you have one of these lamps and you are suddenly plunged into darkness the chances are that someone else on the site has the same frequency remote as you so just use the manual switch or turn yours off and have a giggle !!

Fantastic!!!! That's a real cracker. You could have gone on all night switching theirs on and off.
