Default Highlander Echo 400 Sleeping Bag

I bought this sleeping bag for Mrs H from Amazon for £31. Its a 4 season bag that claims to have a comfort rating down to -15°c and an extreme rating of -25°c

Now we didn't test it to those temps but it was -3°c outside last night and Mrs H reports that she was toasty all night. She did say it was a bit more restrictive than her summer bag and this is not really surprising as this a thick bag and I suspect the extra thickness is at the expense of space inside. The zip is a bit awkward to use and again I suspect that's down to the thickness of the bag

The bag is heavy at 2.25kg and with a packed size of 43cm x 27cm which is bigger than my 3 man tent so it's not really suitable for bike use but we bought it for winter use and that means the car so no problem there.

So there you have it. It's a big, heavy, awkward to use bag, but put all that to one side and remember why it was bought and that was to sleep in in these long cold nights and in that respect it's a winner.

In the words of Mrs H "Toasty"

I stock these, and I have to say highlander is the sort of brand that 'does what it says on the tin'. You want to keep warm? then it'll keep you warm.
They do vary in their sleeping bags, for example, they have the echo range along with the well known voyager brand out now.
If you're interested in checking out some other products I have a stocklist I can show anyone...
