cheap gas stove

bought this little chinese made stove on ebay a couple of years ago. its got very good piezo ignition, a good leak free valve and it packs into a plastic box with room to spare for a dozen sachets of cafe salt and pepper or a couple of oxo cubes.
cost me a fiver + £2 p+p, although ive seen them on there now for 99p(plus £12 p+p, so not a rip off!)
decided to do a basic test to see how it fares against my usual stoves, a larger gas can top stove that was a fiver from ALDI (last of the big spenders, me) and a homemade cola can effort (even cheaper!) that we all make when we get bored. i used to have a coleman exponent that i would like to compare too, but i sold it a few months ago.
so, to boil a pint of water;
ALDIs finest= 5mins 30sec.
TingTong ebay job= 6 mins, not surprising, its a much smaller burner but more economical
cola can= 4mins.

hmm, thats a surprise. i would have thought the pressurized butane would have more calories in it than free burning meths vapour, obviously not.
also the stove, rolled alu potstand/windsheild, small bottle of meths, spork, lighter, oxo cubes, s+p etc all fit inside a pan the same size as just the gas canister for the other stoves.
