which heater for our tent

Default which heater for our tent

hi , my first time here, great site. we have EHU but am torn between which heater would be best, both for heat and low noise ( we dont really want the loud noise of a fan heater).............. new tigris DLX. cant wait for easter ........many thanks.

What sort of heating are you looking for.

Electric, Gas, Paraffin or woodburner. There are loads of options

Oh and welcome to the forum

hi, it would be an electic heater, fan, halogen, ceramic, cant make our minds up but we no some fan heaters are noisy......having said that, does anybody no which types of ceramic fan are the quietest.......thanks

Sorry only just seen this and your other post.

What I have seen some families doing is using the electric oil filled heaters. Now they won't be as fierce with the heat but they will be quiet. They are big and bulky though.

I have slept with a fan heater on all night, but it did keep waking me up as the thermostat kept kicking in and out.

Of course the best is a wood burner. <He says with a smug grin.>

I have always thought those halogen heaters would be good on a tent. Most of them a tilt switch and once off cool quickly so limiting the risk of a fire.
