    Default Alpkit Bulb!

Ok let’s start with the usual situation and needs! Your looking for a light for the tent or general use and it’s either a large lantern or very small pocket torch. After being recommended I decide to try the Bulb by Alpkit. I saw one in the Cotsworld shop and it looked great except the £35 price tag. I wanted something which took common batteries like AA.

Nearly identical and exactly the same LED and 80% identical housing I bought the Bulb by Alpkit. Its a superb bit of kit and small as well. The brightest lantern/torch I have ever had and weighs nothing. It’s so bright I turn it down to the second settings. £15 inc postage is a bargain for this and heres the blurb!

And to top it off both the service and delivery is superb!

I've just bought one of these too and it's a brilliant little light

very bright, even in daylight and surprisingly heavy so it should be fairly stable when used on a table etc.

if you haven't bought one by then I'll have it with me at the national meet Dave so you can take a look.

I've now tried this out in anger and happy to report it worked well.........
In the large living area in our Outwell bear lake 4 it could've been slightly brighter to help with reading but in a smaller tent like my igloo, it's more than enough to do the job.

I wonder how long will the battery last for that light? But when I see the picture it is beautiful and very nice to have for camping.

I can't remember what the official times are but................
We used ours for at least 1.5 hours every night for 10 days and I changed the batteries after 8 days as it wasn't quite bright enough to read easily.................. Great light, nicely made.
