    Default torches and flashlights

Hi all, I came across this forum while looking for outdoor/wilderness holiday destinations. Interestingly I noticed that this section for outdoor gear. By chance I run a review site for lighting equipment which might be useful to some. Feel free to check it out at Flashlight Reviews, Torchlight Reviews, LED, HID, Xenon & More

So what would you recommend for camping, if someone wants to light their tent?
Tentipi Safir 9 CP - Keeping us warm in the night.

Khyam Biker - Keeping me dry for the last few years.

I'd recommend the Zebralight H50 which should be very accessible by most since it runs on a common AA battery. It puts out a nice flood-type light and works great if tied to the tent canopy.

If you don't mind lithium or rechargeables, you could check out their other models which will put out more light.

Practically speaking though, say you're only under moonlight, the H50 would be more than bright enough. In fact I've found its High mode to be too bright actually.

There are plenty of good led lights on the market now'a'days...just depends on what strength and details you are after imo

Have a look at the Alpkit website.........
I use "the bulb" in the tent and I've just got their headtorch as well!!!! The headtorch is great value for money and I'm very impressed with it.

Wasn't aware of thes torches until your post, they look really useful - thanks. However, why the 50 rather than the 501?

    Thanks,

We were also looking at the Bulb v2 but in the end opted for the 300 lumens Varta option on special @ amazon for £19.99. Its bright and states it will last for 72 hours on high power. Throw rechargeable in the mix with a car charger and I hope that we got it right.
