Default SOLD: Comanche Montana trailer tent/folding camper and equipment

For sale my much loved Comanche Montana Trailer tent/folding camper.

Later this year I will get this out, photograph it, clean it up and put it for sale on ebay but thought it worthwhile posting something here first.

its one of these: and that little 45second video is pretty accurate for how long iot takes to put the basic tent up (misses of winding down the legs).

Here's the Comanche website. Remolques Comanche

The trailer has a large storage box on the A frame and an under trailer storage box for the awning frame and any other heavy bits.

Oh and there's a spare wheel somewhere.

There is a large awning included complete with a breathable/grass friendly groundsheet (one of those rubbery open weave groundsheets) as well a plastic waterproof groundsheet and an underskirt that seals the gap under the trailer to the awning. The awning, as with all awnings is a bit a faff to put up and down and really needs two of you as the material is heavy and needs dragging over the frame (least that's how I do it) and is best left for when you will be staying for a few days.

The awning and groundsheets and your bedding can all be stored inside the folded camper (but its quite tight).

I am also including the following items:
a Camping Gaz fridge that runs on Butane (Bottle included), 12volts or 240 volts (all cables included and hoses to run the fridge and cooker separately and simultaneously).
An electric hook up cable about 25metres long - the trailer is wired for electric.
A Coleman two ring and grill cooker.
A folding "Kitchen" unit - includes a stand for the cooker, a work top and a shelf for pans etc.
A set of non stick saucepans / frying pan, cutlery, cooking utensils, plates and cups etc if you want them, and probably a load of other useful bits and pieces I can't think of right now.

The tent dates from 2001 - we bought it like new in 2002 with the previous owners confirming just one wekend's use. It is still mostly in very good condition - one small tear in the canvas near the door to the inner tent but does not affect anything and unless I showed you, you wouldnt spot it on inspection. Otherwise the canvas is excellent with little to no fading and remains waterproof. There may be some damage to the mesh on a couple of windows - but nothing you would notice or that affects performance either as ventilation or to keep the bugs out.

The awning frame did get bent once during a terrific thunderstorm in Spain (ours was one of the few tents still standing) and remains a bit bent now and has scorch marks where I heated the metal to bend it straight. It does not affect the awning at all and in some respects makes putting it up easier as you know immediately where some of the poles need to go. I will include loads of pegs and a mallet.

The inner tent includes blackout curtains. The foam mattress is still very supportive - we mostly used the tent as a super luxurious 2 berth, but it will sleep 4 if the children are young.

The trailer is fully galavanised with good tyres and all lights worked last time I used it in 2009 (and will still be working when I sell it). Tyres are good and will only have covered 3-4,000 miles. The top of the trailer has a frame for lashing luggage etc onto - I added a couple of roof bars and bike carriers (not included) - plenty of room for 4 bikes but I have also had a roof box. Note, anything you put on the luggage rack must be removed before the tent can be erected.

I think I want £1000 for it all and don't want to split it up at the moment.

Its safely tucked away at the mo so don't ask for pics unless you are serious - but I have probably got some old holiday snaps that include the tent somewhere.

Hi just wondered it your Comanche Montana is still for sale and if so would you consider selling the awning on its own and if so how much would you want. We would be interested in the carpet ,groundsheet and skirts as well.

    Hi Linda,

I still have the tent but will only sell it as a complete package.

Open to offers now. It's not really advertised anywhere else either.

As I didn't use this tent in 2010 or 2011 and used it one weekend only in each of 2009, and 2008 I really do need to sell it......

......Price reduced to £650 for the main tent/trailer and all it's contents, the awning and groundsheets. The various extras mentioned like fridge, cooker etc are extra by negotiation.
