    Default Repair to mesh door

    Ok, thinking caps on..

We have a small hole in our tents mesh door, 20p size ..

I was looking for a patch and glue but can only find repair kits for repairing the tent outer nylon, not the mesh material..

    Any ideas..

    Default Mesh repair

    Hi Largewayround,

Try Pennine Outdoor, just drop that into Google and that should find them. They do everything that you will need as well as advice if you need it.

    Good luck

    Wow what a great shop!

I couldn't see any mesh in there, but probably worth a call to them, they seem to do everything else.

I saw some Goretex patches in there which was worth knowing for my waterproof bike gear.

    Default mesh

Their web site is not the best and I have always found it better to give them a bell and 9 times out of 10 they have what I need or they can get it and post it within a few days.

Just a thought about the mesh repair, if its a quick fix your after can you not pop a small patch of tenacious tape on one side then position the remaining mesh on the tape before placing a second patch of the same size on the opposite side to seal it ?

Only a thought as mesh can be a bugger to match up and impossible to stitch.

thanks I will give it a go.

I did think about some sort of tape and that tenacious tape might just do the job.

    cheers

if its the sort of mesh that unravels into a bigger and bigger hole then i dont know what your going to do, but if it doesnt then just stitch the two halves together.

if its the right kind of plastic you could very carefully try heat welding the two sides together?
