So what model tentipi would you go for and what do they cost.

I went for a Safir 9 as there was no way I could justify one for bike use only. If I could I would have bought a 7 as it seems a great tent for one or two people with plenty of room to dry kit and cook. With the 9 it will be ideal for family use and I'll still be able to be put it on the bike for the bigger events.

In answer to your second point, fortune is the word I would choose to describe the cost. at £1170 for the poly cotton Safir 9 and comfort floor it's way more than the competition but going by those that own them they will last a lifetime and are worth every penny. Well I hope that's the case.

The cheapest place to buy just now seems to be Nordic Outdoor although some other places will price match their prices.
