Interesting concept. I could see the use in the large garage, but not for the motorbike. That can sit outside. I would like a large covered area in front of the tent for cooking and generally sitting around. WinXP very kindly gave me his no longer used tarp and I hope that will fill that need quite nicely.
I went to the zoo recently. The only animal there was a small dog. It was a shihtzu

    Default No good

Ok I got my hands on one, and now and feel free to answer my own question. These are supposedly aimed at bikers, just what kind of bike or biker I don't know. Very nicely made and simple to erect, but it is only suitable for the boot of a car, it's massive. You could carrie it on your bike, but you would have to leave everything else at home including your pillion. I will get on to Sunncamp and try to understand just what part of the market they thought they were trying to fill. My experience is, bikers don't bother.

Before you send it back can you post the pack size? It would be a useful reference for anyone else should they be interested.

A review from one of the Out & About Live magazines quotes a pack size of 62 x 29 x 29cm and a pack weight of 15.9kg

Goodness. That's the same weight as DaveS' poly cotton 9 man tipi. Including groundsheet.

Great review from out and about, but one small query, we gather this guy sitting in the tent has not come alone, because he says it is too big to be carried on one bike, so if there was 2 bikes who carried the table and 2 chairs. Or if his partner came in the car, which he also says could be a possibility, 1 on a bike and one in a car, did they bring a big cover for the car.

It's an interesting concept but when packed down it's clearly just too big to be transported on a bike... which seems to be its unique selling point, so a bit of an own goal really.

I'm hoping to be able to get the tentipi on the bike. Not as my usual tent but for special occasions like national meets etc. Just to induce some tent envy you understand.

    I won't have a pillion though.
