really interesting design that!!
the use of a bowed pole means you can have a thinner one with more joints so ideal if your looking to carry it on bike.

Hi
Just to let you know, I went camping in Dorset last week, I tried the canopy.
2 porch poles £0.00
1.8 x 2.3 tarp £1.99
15m guy line £2.50
packet of guy tensioners £2.50
It worked well. However I tried it with all the porch poles instead of just 3 and in the wind the reinforced holes gave way. So I have wrapped gaffa tape around each eyelet now. Also on the side I wanted to use there wasn't an eyelet in the middle so one side is longer than the other.
We go away in another couple of weeks so I will see how it works then.
