    Default decisions, decisions

Ok now I've got some cash to spend and I've decided I really needed / wanted something a bit bigger than the Phad I'm down to either

    a Khyam Biker

    or

A Vango Omega 350 (new model with TBS and removable inner tent)

both would be this years model and about the same price.

so which do I go for?

    pros and cons of both?

    all opinions appreciated

    Ian

Haven't used either unfortunately, however loads of people on the GS site use the biker and all give good reports. PM Sharri on the XRV siter. She's got one and when we went to Spain last year the tent worked really well for the three of them.

You can have a subscription on XRV for free as you're a mod.

The Biker is a great tent because it has loads of room for kit, the one disadvantage for me is the side entrance which drips rain in when you're going in and out.
Some people seem to use a tarp very well to protect it... I keep meaning to do this but haven't yet.

I'd like to get a Tipi though for the bike as I'm sold on that design now.
Tentipi Safir 9 CP - Keeping us warm in the night.

Khyam Biker - Keeping me dry for the last few years.

well you can't complain about speed of delivery from Khyam.

ordered Sunday afternoon, delivered first thing Tuesday.

    I've just one question,

how the hell do you get it back into it bag as small as when it arrived

I'm assuming it because I can't lay it out well indoors to get it flat and rolled up nicely but never mind.

I'm also glad I went for this rather than any of the other Khyams as this one's long enough when packed the other would have just been attaching wings to the bike.

so when do we get a nice enough day to put it up and check it out?

They do go back in. Don't know if they come with the inner attached if it didn't leave it attached when you pack it away.

it all went back OK just a bit bulkier than when it arrived

the inner was attached and it'll stay that way.

There is a nack to putting them away but you do get there eventually.
