Question Buying A Hi Gear Mojave 5 Advice Needed Please :o)

Hi All I need some advice please....

I'm thinking about buying Hi Gear Mojave 5... it looks like it ticks all the boxes from here I just need to clarify one point:

Can I actually cook inside the tent using the "living space" area??? Or do I need to buy a Lichfield Tent Canopy do this???

The reason why I’m buying a new tent is because last year I went to the lakes in the summer with a small dome tent and a gazebo for the cooking area, middle of summer and well it peed it down great British weather we have lol the wind was unbelievable the one day it nearly blew the gazebo away along with most of our things…. So I’m trying to prevent this from happening this year

    thanks for all your help/advice,

    Kind regards,

    Carol x

You can cook in any tent but there is a couple of obvious risks.

The first is fire and assuming you can keep a good clearance between the stove and the tent fabric then you should be OK. The other silent killer is Carbon Monoxide poisoning and the only way to guard against that is plenty of ventilation.

Keep both of these in mind and you should be fine.
I went to the zoo recently. The only animal there was a small dog. It was a shihtzu

    Hi Carol
I bought this tent recently. We wanted one that is reasonably easy and quick to put up and so would be feasible for long weekends etc (our larger tent needs a long lie down to recover from putting up and putting away) We used it for four of the wettest, coldest days we had in May and the tent was brilliant - stood up to driving rain without any leaks at all. I had to cook inside and it is suprisingly roomy. I did have a hookup though ( a recent experience for me and one that I'm finding very addictive) I used an induction hob and a pressure cooker to make some substantial meals. (By the way we had our four year old twin grandchildren with us - and the tent stood up to them too- although I'm not sure that I did)
