Tent Supplies and Sugestions - Leicester

Hi everyone it is nice to join this forum. I am a resident in Australia but will be visiting the UK arriving May 26 London and Leicester 28th. My plan is to hire a car (already booked). I am looking for a tent and air bed I am bringing my sleeping bag with me.
I am used to a 4 man tent as it will be my base for about 1 to 2 weeks at a time on where I stay As long as I can pitch it by myself. Looking at budget price but nothing thats cheap and nasty.
I would prefer to get some suggestions from the forum and if posible buy online I am sure they will deliver to the camping site or car hire office.
So please get me started on a few suggestions.

No replies so I take it Leicester may not be a good place for camping equipment. There is OutdorWorldDirect an online store. Has anyone had any experience with them?

Outdoor World are a good company i have used them with no problems , one you could try is JR Leisure they are based in Leicester so maybe you could go in and have a look while you are there.

Thanks for the reply. Have you had anything to do with JR Leisure? I guess the main thing is a good range and prices.
My plan is to catch a train in the morning from London collect the rental car and then get the tent and other stuff. I will then head for Hincklet and camp that night. Hopefully I am not pushing it too much.
I am open to any suggestions.

I have used JR Leisure with no problems at all , they are a well known company and have some good deals. Go Outdoors have a store near Leicester in Loughborough , they are a big company and have stores up and down the UK ,are you hiring a car in Leicester or London .If you hire a car in the center of London you are looking at 3 and half hour drive minimum to Leicester .

Thanks again for your reply. I have made a booking with Europcar in Leicester for the very reasons you have stated. If I leave London about 09:00 I will be in Leicester just over an hour later. so that will give me time for shopping. I think however Loughbourough may be a bit out of the way.

So the supplier I have I will but a couple of post elsewhere in the forums that I will look for advice and answers.
