I have just bought a Gelert Starview 5 tent which is fantastic apart from the fact that when it rains the main central living compartment seems to have a problem.
After a while you can start to feel that it is raining inside as it seems like a rain mist descends from the ceiling.
This mist covers everything with a very fine coating.
Surely this is not right? As you cannot leave anything in the main living area as it will get wet.
I know it is not a dual skinned living area, but it does have a 5000mm HH which I thought would have kept the rain out?
There was only 2 of us in the tent and it does have ventillation.
Do I have a defective tent? Or is this the norm? Is there anything I can do apart from send it back and get a dual skinned tent!
The reason I bought this tent in the first place was its ability to open up an entire wall so you feel like you are outside (which is very effective at night!)
