Wink tents on hard standings ??

no success in finding a solution to pitching a large family tent with built in groundsheet on grass to satisfy the, no groundsheet, breathable groundsheet, move tent after 3/4 days brigade.Still camped though and left a very light yellow patch behind.Apart from tarmac ones is it feasable to pitch on hard standings ,after all carravaners do peg out awnings. Why should I not benefit from some of the facilities offered on the sites that welcome tents but seem only to want you for a couple of days income in case you leave a witness mark behind as evidence that you have been and enjoyed their hospitality.
Any problems here except for sharp stones, has anyone tried it,I'd be glad to know.

I've never been asked to move! Come to that I've never been asked to use a breathable groundsheet either. And I can't actually see how they would make a difference. Surely its lack of light that's a problem not the small amount of extra air that would be allowed to circulate.
That aside yes you could use hard standing but I would have an extra thick groundsheet underneath and a big mallet and big rock pegs!
