The pin will be a very loose fit in the ferule on the end of the poles. They are all like that sir.
As for instructions. Many tents have them sewn into the carry bag.

I have just bought a Coleman plus four man tent. tried to put it up in the garden today but I think the eyelets that the poles slot into are missing. The problem is that the instuctions are so basic and vague that it is impossible to know what to do.
Does anyone out there have one of these?
Have tried looking on utube for videos etc.
there is a ring and pin type of thing sewn into the fly sheet where the 2 eyelets should be but the pins seem too small to push into the end of the poles.
I can't believe this tent doesn't come with proper instructions.

I went to the zoo recently. The only animal there was a small dog. It was a shihtzu
Many thanks Boris, I will try again. The instuctions are indeed sewn into the bag, it's just that they are soo basic with not enough information on them, and also the pictures do not correspond to the tent. In the picture on the instuctions it shows 2 eyelets, however on the tent it has this ring and pin thing. I spent ages in the heat looking for something that isn't there!
Sorry this is all a bit new to me the last time I put up a tent was about 30 years ago and it looked nothing like this one!
Thanks for the welcome, I too came over from xrv.
Happy Days.
