I have an Outlook Colorado 8 (a few years old now) I bought an Outwell universal canopy.
I put the canopy on the side of the tent. The "Tail" at the top went over the tent but the guy ropes rubbed the tent roof tubes. surely this is not right?.
Does anyone have a picture of what happens at the back of the tent. All the images online are of the canopy at the front
Thanks

Thanks Louise.
When I said front I meant that the only pictures are viewed from the front of the canopy. They dont show what happens at the rear of the tent where the "tail" goes over the top.
Outwell have no contact details on thier website. I spoke to the dealer I purchased it from. They said they would talk to Outwell but they never called back.
I have today received an email from World of Camping who I mailed yesterday.
Apparently I am setting it up correctly and in high wind it will rub the tent roof bars. Has anyone else suffered this?
Hi MikeSE19,
Up until 2 years ago, we were using an Outwell Colorado 8 along with the Outwell Universal side canopy. we have now upgraded to the Outwell Maryland XL and use the same canopy on the back of that to cover the back door. The canopy has a tail along with 2 guylines that have hooks at the end. You throw it over and set the ends of the gulines either into the ground using pegs or hook them into the eylet rings at the foot of the tent poles. We never had any problem with the tail rubbing on the main tent. Jusy make sure it is even and not too loose and try to set it up with as little gap as possible between the tent and canopy.
We find it a great addition to the tent. Not only does it mean you can leave the door open without the rain coming in, we use it for cooking and leave the cooker and water containers stored there.
I may have some old pictures somewhere showing the otherside of the colorado with the canopy attached and will have a look if you need me to.
Regards, Pat
Thanks Pat
